Interactive Pinocchio Series TV-Scene Gift Box from 1962:

This uncommon package format featured six of the twelve Pinocchio Series TV-Scenes in one box. The Pinocchio Series remains memorable with its interesting graphics, backgrounds and flats -- despite the fact that all nine figures in the series were previously available. The box format is not unique to Marx Toys either; there is a First Series TV-Scenes Gift Box as well as a Fairykins TV-Scenes Gift Box.
This item was recently purchased through an eBay contact and was previously unseen by this author. The package may have been stored for many years in a damp basement and has some soiling and water damage -- but is still intact. Based on the way Marx marketed all their products similarly, one could assume that there are other equally uncommon TV-Scene Gift Boxes out there somewhere... perhaps for the Second Series, 101 Dalmatians and Babes In Toyland. The Flubber Gallery is always on the lookout for unique Marx items from the golden age of toys (1950s-1970s). Any additional information is appreciated.
