Soon after the 1961 introduction of Disneykins, Marx began to expand the line by introducing accessories to help the budding young collectors. |
But Disneykins were always meant to be collected. The slogan "Do You Have All of Them?" was taken very seriously among the kids of the early 1960s. |
Sold in 1962, the Disneykin Cabinets came in two formats -- corner-caddy and rectangular -- and two colors -- brown or blue. The box sets included 18 First Series Disneykin figures just to help get your collection started. |
Nowadays, the Disneykin Cabinets turn up occassionally on eBay, with or without the box. Many times the figures are found to be glued to the shelves -- as they were with both of the Shelf Units pictured below from the Flubber Gallery collection.
